Mount Elgon is an extinct volcanic mountain that rises to about 4,321 meters above sea level, making it one of the highest peaks in the region. The mountain spreads across Mount Elgon National Park in Uganda and Mount Elgon National Park in Kenya, forming a vast protected landscape filled with forests, caves, waterfalls, and hiking trails.
